The course Systems Analysis and Design with UML™ and Java is designed to teach object-oriented concepts using the Unified Modeling Language (UML) and the Java programming language. |
| Prerequisites: | Students should have an existing background in relational databases including basic SQL skills. No programming background is required. |
| Audience: | Students interested in learning UML modeling skills and students interested in learning Java. |

The introduction course to Software Architecture is based on the IEEE Standard 1471:2000 Recommended Practice and ISO/IEC 10746-3 RM-ODP. |
| Prerequisites: | Students should have an existing background in Computer Science Engineering and/or Management Information Systems. |
| Audience: | Students interested in learning what software architecture is from a practitioner perspective and how to apply software architectural concepts in software development. |
